Cultivating The Perfect Cardio Workout Plan

How can you come up with the perfect cardio workout plan? By following these tips, we're confident you'll be able to.

Coming up with the perfect challenging and goal oriented cardio workout plan is not as easy as you might think, as there’s a lot of work that goes into cultivating the most ideal routine.  But you’re going to find that with due time and effort, you’re going to be able to make yourself into a fitness machine, whether your goal is to lose weight or build your overall endurance.  You’re going to find that no matter what it is that you strive to do, you’ll be able to find success simply by remaining committed to accomplishing your goals.

But of course, you also have to know what to do, so that you can put yourself on the path to success.  For this, there is some information that you’re going to need if you really want to make the most of your time spent exercising.  That means knowing how you should be starting off. What needs to be done so that you can continue to make progress.  But you also want to have a firm grasp of just tenants that are going to help you along as you strive to continue your routine, and really just succeed in all areas:

1) First off, you want to determine how long you can work out for.

This is vital, so that you can see where your goals should be set, which is a necessity for ensuring that you get the most out of a workout.  Everybody needs a starting point, and you can find yours by just jumping in and getting some work done.  Start out with a  ten minute interval on a bike, stair machine or similar type of device, but stay away from the treadmill for now.   This way you can go for ten minutes, see how you feel, and maybe continue a bit further after that.

If you find that ten minutes isn’t difficult at all, then maybe try to go a bit further and see where you end up.  Or if you find that it was a challenge to get through that much of a time period, then ten minutes can be an ideal starting point.  But you want to shoot for a time where you can feel your body really getting tired, and your heart beyond the comfort zone, but you don’t want to be pushing yourself too hard, so do remember to be careful as well.

2) Build on that starting time.

In the next week you want to see if you can increase the amount of time that you’re actually working out, or if you want to go at a slower pace you can also try a few weeks.  But do something so that you’re working out longer as well, so that you keep moving forward.  Even if it means doing two sessions, jus be sure to build on what you have done, so that you can keep moving forward.  That’s a necessity when it comes to really building up and getting better.

3) But don’t forget to also use the machines to your advantage.

As you’re going along, it’s not just the amount of time that you’re working out that you want to change with a good cardio workout plan.  But you also want to change the resistance level that you’re using.  Things like bikes, as well as treadmills and even stair steppers or elliptical machines all feature resistance settings, where you can make the workout that little bit more difficult. By adjusting these, and really pushing yourself to the limit, you can be sure that you’re able to force your body to change in all sorts of really positive ways. Plus this builds muscle, which is important for all things involved with your workout.

4) Make sure that you’re exercising for at least five days a week combined.

You have to ensure that you’re getting plenty of exercise during the week, as it’s the consistence with cardio workouts that make the most difference.  That means you need to be pushing yourself for at least two to three days in a row, before taking a rest day.  And then, don’t take more than one rest day, or two at the absolute most, otherwise you start to unravel all that progress that you’re making.  With the right due diligence and commitment, you can ensure that you’re able to totally change the shape of your body for the better.
